The measures brought in by the government to replace the furlough scheme were unveiled this week. Under the new setup the most vulnerable workers in the economy will have the least support and no attempt has been made to prevent the potential for millions of redundancies when furlough is withdrawn at the end of this month.

New coronavirus regulations came into force in England, Wales and Scotland today (14 September 2020) which restricted all group activities to no more than 6 individuals. There will be differences in however in how the so called ‘Rule of 6’ will be applied in the separate parts of Britain.
On 31 August over 200 police officers from Germany’s special and state protections units raided 26 individual apartments in the Hamburg and North Rhine-Westphalia radius and targeted 22 comrades of Roter Aufbau. Upon being raided, members of the group reported that they were awoken by police with machine guns pointing directly at their faces. The raids involved a confiscation of technology, clothes and other items that the police deemed to have links to the supposed crimes.
