WFDY opposes anti-communism and the indirect ban against German Communists

The World Federation of Democratic Youth (WFDY) has released a statement condemning developments in Germany where there is an anti-communist effort by the state to ban by the backdoor the Germany Communist Party (DKP) and its youth organisation, the Socialist German Workers Youth (SDAJ), a fellow member of WFDY.

President of Haiti assassinated

A group of armed men have assassinated the President of Haiti, Jovenel Moïse, and seriously harmed his wife in their home, according to an announcement by Haiti’s interim prime minister, Claude Joseph. Joseph said the murder was carried out by an “armed commando group” that included foreigners, whilst speaking on a local radio station.

Crimea coastline provocation

On the 23rd of June, the British ‘HMS Defender’ warship was followed by several Russian fighter jets after it sailed within 12 miles of Crimea’s coastline.

‘Jobs and homes NOT military provocations’ – Communist Party

The Communist Party’s International secretary John Foster told the CP Political Committee on Wednesday evening (23 June 2021) that while the Conservative government is preparing real-terms cuts to the budgets needed for a post-COVID recovery, military spending will jump by 20% over the next two years.  He strongly condemned the government’s decision to sail the guided-missile warship HMS Defender (pictured) inside Crimean territorial waters directly opposite Russia’s Sevastopol naval base.
