New COVID-19 exemptions show clear class bias

New coronavirus regulations came into force in England, Wales and Scotland today (14 September 2020) which restricted all group activities to no more than 6 individuals. There will be differences in however in how the so called ‘Rule of 6’ will be applied in the separate parts of Britain.
Roter Aufbau faced with house raids from German Police

On 31 August over 200 police officers from Germany’s special and state protections units raided 26 individual apartments in the Hamburg and North Rhine-Westphalia radius and targeted 22 comrades of Roter Aufbau. Upon being raided, members of the group reported that they were awoken by police with machine guns pointing directly at their faces. The raids involved a confiscation of technology, clothes and other items that the police deemed to have links to the supposed crimes.

On Thursday (10 September 2020), it was announced by the Prime Minister that Covid restrictions would be reintroduced, limiting the number of people gathering in groups in England to 6 from the previously allowed number of 30.

Vasko Popa was a Serbian poet of Romanian descent. Born in modern day Romania, Popa spent his life between Serbia and Romania studying in both Belgrade and Bucharest. His poetic life was often concerned with Socialist Realism, an artistic form which focuses primarily on celebrating socialist life or uplifting the role of ordinary folk in contrast to romantic ideas of aloof heroes and divinely given gifts.
